A wonderful love story between the two vampires, Laurie and Mikani. Laurie rescues Mikani and they fall in love instantly. But one problem lies....Mikani is still human. Laurie eventually changes her into a vampire and they are finally able to be happy. But visits from A troublesome Werewolf and a vicious Hunter puts a halt in the festivities.
Laurie and Mikani overcome many obsticles together, but that doesn't mean their relationship can end tragically.

They take a long time to get to know each other, Drake making many mistakes that could have been fatal for their relationship, Kai being kidnapped or transformed by the evil being within her...Syn. Syn is then gone, but comes back full force to despose of Kai.

Laurie stood back and watched them, he didn't want to ruin their reunion moment. "This is sad...that her father hates her...," he thought watching them.

Laurie nodded his head, "Yes," he replied softly. Laurie felt out of place and weird when Mikani's mother talked to him so he tried to stay quiet if all possible. "I would propose to you, Mikani...but it just doesn't feel like the right time...," he thought.

Mikani rolled her eyes, "Drop the subject, mom. Please. She glanced away nervously.
"Well, I have a present for you, dear." Ella pulled a box out from under the bench. It was wrapped in onyx colored paper, tied with a silver bow. Mikani opened it, and gasped. Inside, wrapped in tissue paper, was a creame colored cashmire scarf, embroidered with the tree-like tattoo that Mikani had on her back.
"Mom it's...it's so..."
"I figured that since you were staring out on your own, it'd be nice to have your own insignia on something other than yourself."
