The story that goes on and on. Drake and Kai, unlikely lovers, but destined lovers, meet in the most bizzare place...and alley...
They take a long time to get to know each other, Drake making many mistakes that could have been fatal for their relationship, Kai being kidnapped or transformed by the evil being within her...Syn. Syn is then gone, but comes back full force to despose of Kai.

Duke walked into the kitchen then looked behind him. "Here we are." He said to Laurie. He walked up to the fridge and opened it. "What would you like?" He asked as he dug around in the fridge for anything to drink.

Laurie shrugged again, "I don't know..." he said very quietly, "Anything is fine..." He looked around the kitchen then once he laid his eyes on the table and chairs he pulled out a chair and sat down.
He stared at the table top and was quiet after that.

"Hm..." He mumbled to himself as he continued to dig around the fridge. He grabbed a beer and pulled out another one. "Want one?" He asked holding it up over the fridge door.

Laurie didn't like beer much, it didn't taste right to him, "No thank you..." he said softly, "I don't like beer much..." he admitted.
He sighed heavily and slouched in his chair as he desperately tried to remember what happened before he passed out, "What...happened to me during the fight...?" he asked softly, trying to think up an answer to his question before Duke could reply, but nothing came to mind, his memory of those moments were wiped blank. He was curious.

Duke put both beers back in the fridge and pulled out a pitcher of red liquid, which wasn't hard to tell what it was.
Duke frowned a little when Laurie asked his question. "Well...you seemed to change..." He said softly as he set the pitcher on the counter and grabbed a glass. "You and Syn had a fight and...well you used a power I had never seen before. Then Syn was wounded in the fight, but she summoned her power and made it out alive."
"Want some?" He asked looking back at him as he poured himself a glass.

Just by talking to Duke like this he felt a little more comfortable, "I...changed...?" he asked, "I don't understand...that's never happened before...a power? I don't have anything like that...are you sure that was me...?" he asked.
Since he wasn't in control entirely during that time, He had no recollection of the great power he had either. "I don't understand..."

Duke grabbed another glass and set it on the counter. "Well...it's hard to explain...but it was you that I'm sure..." He said softly as he poured another glass for Laurie.
"Your power was strong and it involved ice, which I'm sure you and Drake both have." He said with a small shrug as he went to the fridge. "But it nearly destroyed that whole building." He said putting the pitcher back onto the shelf.
"But after Syn left you just collapsed. Then we took you to Nathan and you woke up." He said with a shrug as he walked over to the table with the glasses in his hands.

Laurie couldn't believe what he was hearing, "I can't believe that..." he said softly taking one of the glasses from Duke's hand, "I've never had powers like that before..." He sighed, suddenly he felt a little tired, but he decided not to say anything about it, he didn't want to go to sleep...not yet.

Duke sat down in the empty chair next to him and set his glass down. "Yes..." He said softly. "Whats odd is that there was no body when I came down..." He said softly.
He looked down at his glass in thought. "Hm...did you see what happened?" He asked looking at Laurie out of the corner of his eye.

Laurie looked like he was going to cry, he didn't want to remember that moment again, but he nodded anyway. "Yeah..." he whispered sadly.
He recalled the moment where a bloody Kai was in Drake's arms and Drake was crying, and then Kai disappeared, dissolving into fine dust.
A tear rolled down his cheek. He was sad that Kai was dead because she was so nice to him, but he was even more sad that Drake had to go through with losing someone.

Duke downed his glass and set it back down on the table. He sighed a little bit and stood back up. "Now then...food..." He mumbled as he walked over to the cupboards that were filled with food.

Duke pulled out some cans and looked at some of the boxes. "Hm..." He mumbled and he took the tomato soup can and put the rest away. Then he went to a different cupboard and pulled out some bread.
"How does tomato soup and grilled cheese sound?" He asked over his shoulder as he closed the cupboard door.

He set the bread on the counter and went to the fridge. "Well..." He said softly as he reached in for the cheese. "It's hard to say..." He said with a small shrug.
He pulled out the package of cheese slices an set them next to the bread. "Kai and Syn have been around for a long time...it could have been anything." He said smoothly as he looked around for a pan and a frying pan.
"But...I have a theory..." He said as he pointing the frying pan he had just found at Laurie. "I think...Syn hated Kai for taking control..." He said smoothly as he set the frying pan on the stove, then he went on to finding the other pan
