They take a long time to get to know each other, Drake making many mistakes that could have been fatal for their relationship, Kai being kidnapped or transformed by the evil being within her...Syn. Syn is then gone, but comes back full force to despose of Kai.

Geo and Nathan rode down the main street, "Are you sure you know where we're going?!" he yelled, just a bit frustrated that he was taking directions from a blind man.
"Yes, I'm sure," Nathan replied calmly, "Just a couple more turns and we should be there..." There was a long pause as they came up to an intersection, then Nathan spoke quickly, "Turn right!"
Geo turned right, the tires screeching and he sharply turned the corner. "Damnit, Nathan! Tell me a little before hand so I don't kill us both!!"
"Sorry..." he replied, "Just keep going on this road for eight miles..."
"Whatever..." Geo was still crabby, but nothing could change that.

Asuka's little red sports car screeched to a halt in front of the apartment. She pulled out her keys, jumped over the door and ran toward the building. Her speed was just enough to make it all the way up to the balcony with no problem. She noticed the glass door was open so she pulled it open and ran inside. "Drake!" She yelled as she ran from room to room with amazing speed.
Finally she went to the bedroom and found Drake on the floor still in his boxers. She knelt down next to him and touched his back. "Drake...Drake can you hear me?" She asked in a slight panic. She was about to touch his shoulder when she saw the deep puncture wounds in his neck and they were bleeding slightly, seeing that made her panic even more. "Drake?!"

Drake didn't respond, it was almost like he was dead, but he wasn't. He wasn't breathing but his heart was still beating.
"Turn left now..." Nathan said softly.
Geo turned the bike to the left sharply again, almost getting hit by oncoming traffic, "Nathan!" he screamed.
"Sorry...but this is how I travel..." Nathan apologized, "Take the next right then the third left and we'll be there..."
"Thanks for giving me the directions ahead of time...couldn't you have done that before?!" Geo yelled again as they traveled on quiet streets. His voice echoed between houses.
"Blame Duke...he drives fast..." Nathan replied.
Soon Geo spotted Asuka's sports car, "Oh good, she's here already." Geo was relieved.he stopped the bike and waited for Nathan to get off.
Nathan hopped off the back and stood still, he was in a strange place. The last time he'd been there was at the back of the building, "Are we at the back of the building...?" he asked softly, staring into nowhere. He hadn't had time to put his blindfold back on. Geo was demanding and scary when he was screaming at people.
"No...why?" Geo replied, irritated. He kicked the kickstand down and walked up to Nathan and grabbed his arm.
"I know a way to get in the apartment...but I need to be at the back of the building."
"Alright...just hurry and find the way in..." Geo was in a hurry. He led Nathan to the back of the building and to the wall.
Nathan felt along the wall until he found the exact spot he was before when they first visited Kai's apartment. He flipped up to the balcony and walked in, "Asuka?" he called softly.
Geo followed Nathan and stood behind him, gently pushing him out of the way

Asuka put her fingers on his neck trying to find a pulse, which she found but he wasn't breathing. "Oh...what do I do....what do I do!" She yelled at herself.
"Asuka?"
Asuka's heart nearly burst through her chest when she heard his voice. "Nathan in the bed room!" She yelled still next to Drake. "Hold on Drake..." She said softly.

Nathan followed Asuka's voice to the bedroom. Geo followed after Nathan. "What's wrong with him?" he asked feeling his way around the room until he finally landed a hand on her shoulder. He sat down on the floor next to her, "Was he here alone?" He stared at Asuka with blank, cloudy brown eyes.
Geo leaned in the doorway and crossed his arms, "Looks like he's dead..." he commented heartlessly.

Asuka nodded. "Yes..." She said softly. When She heard Geo's rather inappropriate comment of Drake and she shot him a rather unpleasant look. "He isn't dead..." she said to him quickly before looking down at Drake. "I've found a pulse...but I don't think he's breathing..." She said softly.

Nathan thought for a moment, "Well since he did have some kind of encounter with Syn...I wonder..." he mumbled to himself. He put his hand out In front of him which landed on Drake's arm. Nathan felt his way up to Drake's neck and ran his fingers over the bite marks, "Just what I thought...he was drained...but he's still alive..."
Nathan turned his head toward Asuka and gave her another blank stare, "He's just in a hibernated state...like a temporary coma if you will...he'll be fine...he just needs to regenerate what he lost is all." Nathan gave a little nod, "We just need to let him rest."
He stood up and turned toward Geo, he knew he was there because Geo was crabbily mumbling to himself, "Geo...if you will?"
"Yeah yeah..." Geo walked over to Drake and scooped him up in his arms. He set him on the bed then walked back to the door, "There...all done..."

Asuka watched Nathan's hand as it landed on the marks on his neck. "Hibernated state...a coma..." She said to herself softly. After Geo put Drake on the bed a thought hit her. "Wait a minute...wheres Laurie?" She said looking around. She looked on the floor on the other side of the bed and in the closet. She looked over at Geo. "Did you see another guy here when you came in?"

"Laurie is Drake's brother, he was staying here for awhile until he could get back on his feet." She said looking out of the bed room door. "I hope he didn't get hurt...or taken..." She said softly to herself.
She looked back at Drake on the bed. "Nathan? When do you think Drake will wake up?" She asked as she walked over to the bed. "I need to ask him some questions..." She said softly.

Nathan listened, "I see...well I guess anything could be possible in this situation..." he replied. Nathan sighed.
After Asuka spoke, he replied right away, "I have no idea...could be hours, days, weeks, months...I have no way to tell...it all depends on how much of his own blood she left with with...that could be a great indicator of how long but people don't have Full/Empty gauges..."

Asuka frowned. "I just need to know if his brother is ok...I want to make sure he wasn't here when his happened...I hope he wasn't taken by Syn ether..." She said softly.
She sat down at the edge of the bed she accidentally brushed her hand against his arm and a cold shiver went through her. Suddenly her eyes turned a light pastel purple and an image flashed through her mind.
Drake was crying with someone in his arms. She walked up a little closer and saw that it was Kai. After a few seconds her body disappeared and was replaced by a strange glistening sand. "What the?" She was about to touch the sand when she snapped out of her image.
"Ah!" Asuka fell backward off the bed and onto the floor.

Nathan nodded, "That would be a good thing to know...but like you said, it would be good if we could question Drake..." he was quiet for a moment until Asuka fell onto the floor, "Asuka! Are you okay?" he said following her voice. He knelt down beside her where he rested a hand on her shoulder. He looked worried, "What was that all about...?"
Geo just watched the strange occurrence, "That..was weird..." Then he remembered Asuka telling him about the visions. He didn't want to say anything about it because he knew Nathan didn't know. He was a little worried about her.

She was sitting up now after she took her little tumble off the bed. She was shaking slightly, but that wasn't a big surprise to her. "Ow..." She mumbled as she placed a hand on her forehead.
She shook her head and peeked over at Nathan from between her fingers. "I'm ok...I just slipped off the bed is all." She said with a small smile. She put her other hand on Nathan's that was on her shoulder. "No need to worry Nathan."

Nathan took his hand off her shoulder and found his way to the bed. he sat on the edge and was quiet, "I'm glad...just be careful next time...please."
Geo chuckled softly, but too soft to hear, "So she's keeping it a secret from Nathan..." he thought.

Hours flew by and they were still there...sitting and waiting.
Nathan sighed and checked Drake's pulse, it was better than when he got there, but still not as strong as he thought was normal.
Geo broke the silence, "So..." he started, walking farther into the room, "...what is the plan? We talk about all this junk but we have no idea what we are really going to do..." He paused for a moment then frowned, "And where is Duke!?" he said angrily, mad that Duke was taking his sweet time, "Didn't you call him?"
