Laurie eventually changes her into a vampire and they are finally able to be happy. But visits from A troublesome Werewolf and a vicious Hunter puts a halt in the festivities.
Laurie and Mikani overcome many obsticles together, but that doesn't mean their relationship can end tragically.

They take a long time to get to know each other, Drake making many mistakes that could have been fatal for their relationship, Kai being kidnapped or transformed by the evil being within her...Syn. Syn is then gone, but comes back full force to despose of Kai.

He smiled, "For quite a while, good evening sleepy head." Drake chuckled and kissed her on the cheek. He turned over and searched for his caramels, he unwrapped one and dropped it in his mouth.

Drake slid out of bed and walked up to her, "Could we go to the park?" he asked sweetly, "I've had enough of the noisy city for awhile." He sighed and brushed the hair out of her face, wrapping it around her ear, "There, all fixed," he said softly.

"Anytime you're ready," he whispered, "Anyway, I need to change my clothes." Drake grabbed a new pair of pants and a black short sleeved shirt and tapped his foot, waiting for Kai to leave the room.

Kai gave a smile. "Ok I'll be waiting." She picked up her jacket and walked out the door. She walked into the living room and pulled on her jacket. She sat down on the couch and waited.

Drake changed his clothes fast, "Alright, lets get out of here," he said slipping on black button down shirt over his already black shirt. He pulled the armband off his coat and positioned it on his left arm, "Don't worry about me, i'm used to the cold, plus its better than going out in a jacket full of blood." Drake chuckled and headed for the front door.
