A wonderful love story between the two vampires, Laurie and Mikani. Laurie rescues Mikani and they fall in love instantly. But one problem lies....Mikani is still human. Laurie eventually changes her into a vampire and they are finally able to be happy. But visits from A troublesome Werewolf and a vicious Hunter puts a halt in the festivities.
Laurie and Mikani overcome many obsticles together, but that doesn't mean their relationship can end tragically.

They take a long time to get to know each other, Drake making many mistakes that could have been fatal for their relationship, Kai being kidnapped or transformed by the evil being within her...Syn. Syn is then gone, but comes back full force to despose of Kai.

Laurie drove fast, he needed to get back home.
They drove for about 30 minutes, normally a 3 hour drive. They arrived at the apartment and Laurie drove and parked in his garage.
"# 7," He said quickly grabbing the keys out of the ignition and his bloody shirt from the passenger seat, and he started to run. Hopefully Mikani would understand.
Laurie whisped up the stairs and to his door, he unlocked it in less than a second and ran in slamming the door behind him. He had left Mikani still in the car. This was a real emergency, he needed to drink blood, its been too long.
He dropped his shirt on the floor, ran into the kitchen and grabbed in a cupboard for a wine glass. He grabbed a bottle of wine and filled it almost full. The he opened a kitchen drawer and pulled out some blood tablets and threw it in his drink.
He fell to the floor one hand grasping the counter and desperetly started to drink.
He had rescued Mikani but forgot about his own personal needs.

She watching him leave with a look of concern in her eyes. Was he really in trouble? Was his bloodlust that bad? She unbuckled her seatbelt and opened the door, sliding out into the garage. She shut the door with a thunk.
"Number Seven..."Mikani's voice was barely a whisper, though it echoed in the garage. Laurie had gone upstairs, so she figured that would be the best place to start. Of course, being a human in a vampire city...
She gave a shutter as she started up the stairs.
Click click click click click her boots made steady beats against the stairs. Mikani was, after all, trying to be quiet.
Her eyes followed the apartment numbers as she walked by. Her heart beat faster as she got closer to number seven. There it was, Laurie's apartment. "Laurie?"she spoke cautiously. If his bloodlust was bad...would he attack her? She reached up with a trembling hand and knocked on the door, her other hand grasping the handle of a knife...

Mikani let out a sigh of relief. He's okay... a soft smile appeared on her face. She twisted the doorknob and opened the door, stepping inside. "I'm so glad you're okay..."she let the door shut with a soft click and made her way over to where he sat.
At least it wasn't cold inside.
"Do you mind?"she motioned to the couch and stood there, waiting for his answer.

Laurie giggled quietly and gave Mikani a gentle smile, "I don't mind at all."
He took a sip of wine and set the glass down on a round glass side table next to the couch. He slouched in his seat and laid his head on the couch. He hadn't got a chance to just sit and relax for a moment, so now was his time. His toned muscled relaxed and he rested his eyes.
Laurie liked Mikani's company, he is always so lonely.

She sat down next to him and folded her hands in her lap. She was blushing sheepishly and staring at the floor. What was she supposed to say in a situation like this? She'd managed to give a pureblood vampire human emotions and get herself captured by the King of Bandits.
"You...uh...you have a nice...place."she glanced at him with a sheepish smile, her voice rather quiet for the party-girl.

Laurie smiled, his eyes still closed. "Thanks," he responded tilting his head to the side. He reached over for his wine glass, took a drink and set it back down.
It was akwardly quiet, even the air was still.
He cracked a little smile, "Why are you blushing?" He could tell, even with his eyes closed, he felt her blood rush to her face.

"Gah!?"she felt her face turn red"W-Why? Ah...well....I.....I...."she found herself stumbling over words. Why was she blushing? Oh, well that was simple. She owed him her life. But how the hell could she pay back a debt like that?
She was kinda screwed...
"I guess it's because that's the second time you've saved me....Mr. Knight."she flash him a grin.

Laurie opened his eyes at the comment, "I'm no knight, i'm a vampire...less we forget."
He looked at her with intense eyes. He gently placed his hand on her neck feeling her pulse. Laurie always got a rush from doing that, he loves feeling the pulse of frsh blood. He wasn't going to bite her though, at least not...yet.

She tensed up when Laurie placed his hand on her neck. Not only was her pulse beating fast, she was very warm to the touch. "Well...duh. It's because....because you're too damn sexy for someone like me."she closed her eyes and leaned away"And....that wasn't making it slow down."

Laurie pulled his hand back and rested it on his lap.
The room was silent once again, this time Laurie went really bold.
"You really think i'm sexy huh?" he said raising a brow, a smile curling on his lips. He grabbed his wine with his other hand and took a sip and held onto it.

"And what if I do?"Mikani met his gaze with a firery gaze of her own. She felt her cheeks begin to flush and quickly turned her entire body away from Laurie. So what if she thought he was sexy? Nothing was about to change her mind.
She decided to say it.
"Even if I do, nothing is going to change the way I think."

Laurie smiled and set his glass down on the glass table. He moved closer to Mikani placing his hand on her shoulder. Laurie leaned in and brushed his cold lips against the nape of her neck.
"I'll do this," he said turning her head slowly towards him. He placed both hands on her cheeks and kissed her lightly.
He moved back to his original spot slowly sliding his hands off her face and took a drink of his bloody wine once again.

When he placed a hand on her shoulder, Mikani tensed up. Her heart started to beat faster and the temperature of her skin rose.
Then he kissed her.
Color slowly appeared on her cheeks when he kissed her, but what shocked her the most was the shiver she gave when it happened. Before she knew it, Laurie had leaned back to his original position with his wine. How was it?

"If you want me to change you...you should go to bed," Laurie said giving a gentle smile, "I want you to be in full strength, it makes your chance for completing the change much greater."
