A wonderful love story between the two vampires, Laurie and Mikani. Laurie rescues Mikani and they fall in love instantly. But one problem lies....Mikani is still human. Laurie eventually changes her into a vampire and they are finally able to be happy. But visits from A troublesome Werewolf and a vicious Hunter puts a halt in the festivities.
Laurie and Mikani overcome many obsticles together, but that doesn't mean their relationship can end tragically.

They take a long time to get to know each other, Drake making many mistakes that could have been fatal for their relationship, Kai being kidnapped or transformed by the evil being within her...Syn. Syn is then gone, but comes back full force to despose of Kai.

Laurie set her down on the bed and carefully stripped her of her clothes. He grabbed on if his clean shirts from the closet and slipped it on her. "There," he said sweetly, kissing her lightly on the lips, "Feel better." He layed her down and covered her with blankets.

He sighed softly, "I love you too," he whispered turning out the light. Laurie smiled and shut the door behind him, "After all that, she can sleep peacefully," he said walking over to the couch and sitting down, "Heh, morphine must do wonders for pain." Laurie stared at the wall blankly then smiled, "Mikani..."

She was out of it for several hours. When she woke up, Mikani groaned. Her side hurt. She ran her hand over the stiches and shivered. "Right..."she got up and walked out of the bedroom. She was still dizzy, and found herself almost falling a few times.

"Well...it will be a while before you get all your blood back," he said softly getting up and walking over to Mikani, "You're lucky, if you were a human you'd be dead by now." He massaged her shoulders gently, "Personally, being dizzy is way better than being dead," he whispered, "Trust me i've been there."

Laurie sighed loudly, "Your shoulders are so tense," he commented rubbing them harder, "Relax, you've been through a lot." He smiled warmly and sighed once again.
