Laurie eventually changes her into a vampire and they are finally able to be happy. But visits from A troublesome Werewolf and a vicious Hunter puts a halt in the festivities.
Laurie and Mikani overcome many obsticles together, but that doesn't mean their relationship can end tragically.

Part I
The story that goes on and on. Drake and Kai, unlikely lovers, but destined lovers, meet in the most bizzare place...and alley...
They take a long time to get to know each other, Drake making many mistakes that could have been fatal for their relationship, Kai being kidnapped or transformed by the evil being within her...Syn. Syn is then gone, but comes back full force to despose of Kai.

Drake carried Kai slowly through the streets, people walked by but didn't care really why he ws carrying her. He whispered to her and talked softly to her on their way to Laurie's apartment, "I hope you don't mind me taking you here, I really want Laurie to meet you."

"Okay," he said softly, with a small smile, "We're almost there." After a few minutes, Drake stopped in front of the apartment building, "Do you think you can walk? I have to open the door, love. Or if you could for me?"

He smiled warmly and let her down onto her feet gently, "There you go, but I do have to tell you that I like carrying you," he said winking at her. Drake opened the door and waited for her.

He walked in after her, "Of course." Drake gently grabbed her hand and lead her to the apartment door. He knocked a few times, but no one answered, then he tried the doorhandle and it opened, "Oh Laurie, you have a thing for not locking doors do you?" he said softly to himself, then the memory of Laurie and Mikani flashed through his brain and he shivered in disgust. He held the door open for Kai, "Go ahead, make yourself at home, if i'm welcome here, you should be too."

When Drake knocked on the door her stomach felt like it was doing back flips. When on one answered she relaxed a little. She walked in and looked around with a hint of curiosity. Huh...it's not as nice as my apartment but it's ok. "O-ok..." She said softly.

Drake shut the door behind him and looked around, "Goodness Laurie, you are such a pig, you need a maid," he said walking into the kitchen. There were dished piled in the sink as well as on the counter. "I'm going to clean this place up a bit, so don't mind that its messy," he said to Kai. Drake pulled up his sleeves and began washing the dishes. "I'll do a little something nice for him, well, since he helped me fine Kai and all."

Kai stood in the center of the living room and looked around. She was a little afraid to even sit down any where. She remembered the story Drake told her about walking "in" on them and she didn't really know where that happened and it could have happened any where.

Drake finished the dishes fast and put them away. He wiped down the counter tops until they were shiny again, "Wonderful," he said to himself smiling. He walked into the living room and saw Kai standing, "Whats wrong?" he asked, a puzzling look on his face.

Drake chuckled, "Don't worry, just sit in the chair if you're not sure, but when I saw them, they were in the bedroom." His face was full of disgust thinking about that mishap again. He shook his head and walked over to Kai and kissed her softly, "Just make yourself at home, sweet."

Kai smiled. "Alright hun." She said softly and spotted a chair to sit in. She gave a small spin as she made her way to the chair. Lightly she sat down and leaned back a little.

Drake smiled, "I'll be done soon." He slipped away into the bedroom where it was...well...messy... Drake rolled his eyes and began cleaning up clothes off the floor, he didn't care what it was, just as long as something was getting cleaned. He threw all the dirty clothes into the hamper in the bathroom and he stripped the bed of its sheets and blankets. He folded the blankets and set them on a nearby chair, as well as the pillows. He dumped the sheets in the hamper as well. Drake stood there and sighed, his hands on his hips, "Laurie so owes me..." He put fresh sheets on the bed then the blankets and pillows. The room was perfectly clean.
