Snow was fluttering down from the blackened sky. Fresh foot prints were on the blanket of snow. People laughing and talking filled the streets. Street lights covered the snow dusted asphalt with light. Kai's tight braid swung behind her. She had a strange skip in her step and a small smile on her face. Every once and awhile she would stop in front of a window filled with unknown items. She walked to one of the alleyways and leaned against one of the street ways. The bottom of her jacket fell back and showed her black and white striped thoughts and her black combat boots. This place is interestingshe thought. She took in a deep breath of the cold night air. She closed her eyes and relaxed.

Drake sighed, "I'm so tired...," he said quietly yawning.
The city lights lit up his eyes and wind tustled his red hair, "This place is so busy...," he complained while walking past stores and restaurants.
He stopped in front of a dark alleyway, he turned to see someone resting against a tall building.

Kai hear someone stop not far from her. She opened her eyes and saw a young man standing in front of the alley. Her green eyes seemed to glow in the dark light. She looked him over with interest. Why is he looking at me?she thought.

"Who is that?" he thought walking down into the dark alley, he put his hands in his pockets, "Why is she staring at me...like that.."
He stopped a few meters away from her, his eyes glowed a deep blue.

"Yes?" Kai asked in a soft voice. Her eyes watched him with suspicion. She crossed her arms and put one foot on the wall. She closed her eyes again and relaxed. Who is this guy? A small growl echoed in her mind.

Snow rested on his shoulders and in his hair, "Oh nothing," he whispered. Drake walked past her and headed towards the darkness further down the alleyway, "She's strange...I don't know why..." he thought to himself.
Drake wanted to talk to her, but would she even stop him?

Kai opened her eyes and turned and saw him walking away. Why is he walking away? She thought. "What is it?" Kai asked in a sweet tone. She pushed off the wall and walked toward him. She tilted her head to the side with interest.

He shook his head side to side, "I'm Drake Ambrosse," he said giving her a warm smile.

She smiled back. "I'm Kai Jones." She held her hand behind her back. "So..." She said softly. She looked down at the ground. Her cheeks felt warm. Whats...whats this feeling? She thought.

"So...what?" he asked crossing his arms, his blue eyes watched her intensely.
He quickly uncrossed his arms to brush some hair out of his face, then moved back.
A gust of wind shot down the alleyway blowing the snow off his shoulders.

"So...um what brings you down this way?" Kai looked up at him her green eyes calm. Strands of her silver hair blew in the wind. She could feel her cheeks getting warmer. A small smile was forming on her face. She was holding back a giggle. She looked back at the ground so he wouldn't see her face.

He smiled at her nervousness, "Well i saw you near the wall, and i guess i was wondering if you were...okay," he said softly.
Drake pulled at his armband, just something he did when he was nervous.
