Laurie eventually changes her into a vampire and they are finally able to be happy. But visits from A troublesome Werewolf and a vicious Hunter puts a halt in the festivities.

They take a long time to get to know each other, Drake making many mistakes that could have been fatal for their relationship, Kai being kidnapped or transformed by the evil being within her...Syn. Syn is then gone, but comes back full force to despose of Kai.

The snow on the ground sparkled as the street lights and neon signs glowed upon it. "Okay we need to go get a bandage first," Drake said looking for a store, "Help me find a place." People were piled in the streets and restaurants.

Kai had pulled her hood up to some what hide her bloody face. Her green eyes looked around and spotted a pharmacy not to far away. "Theres a pharmacy over there." She said softly.

"You sure are good at finding places," he complimented, smiling as he always does around her. He pulled her along and they walked into the store, "Welcome," said a friendly cashier. Drake smiled at them, and walked around the store until he found what he was looking for. "Got it," he said holding a cloth bandage, "Do you want anything Kai?"

"Are you going to pay?" he asked looking at the five dollar bill in her hand, "I mean you don't have to." Drake smiled cutely, he wanted to save as much money as he could for clothes and he only had so much.

Drake smiled at the cashier, she practically fell over, "Is this all?" she asked timidly. "Yup," drake responded taking the five dollar bill form Kai and giving it to the woman. She gave Drake back $1.50, "Have a nice night," she said blushing. Drake smiled again and handed Kai her water and grabbed his bandage, "Thank you."He grabbed Kai's hand and pulled her out of the store, "Okay now I just need to get this on," he said walking over to a nearby alley.

Kai followed Drake into the alley holding her bottle of water. She took a quick sip of the water to clean out her mouth. Then she caught some water in her hand and cleaned her lips and face with it. Kai closed the bottle and walked over to Drake. "Is there any way I can help?" She asked.

He took off his coat and shirt and sat on an overturned box, he had perfectly toned muscles and his skin glimmered in the moonlight. "Could you help me put my bandage on, "he said blushing a light pink, he looked up at Kai with puppy dog eyes. His wound was bad, dripped down his arm all the way to his hand.

Kai stared for a second at his body then to his bloody arm. "Ya sure." She took her water and lightly poured it on the cut to get rid of the blood on his arm and cut. The water mixed with the blood and dripped to the frozen ground. "Can I use your shirt for a second." She asked trying not to stare at him.

Kai took the shirt and lightly patted at the wound so it would be some what dry so the bandage would stay. She also took off the blood that dripped down his arm. "Ok I'll need the bandage." She held out her hand.

He gently set the rolled up bandage in her hand, "There." Drake winced when she touched the wound, the water alone wasn't enought to stop it from hurting.

She unwrapped the bandage and put it on gently on the wound. She made sure there were no air bubbles in it. Kai gave a smile. "There we go. That should do it."

Drake turned and gave her a warm smile, "Thank you," he whispered staring into her eyes, "Syn may be in your mind, but you are still you." He grabbed her chin lightly and kissed her tenderly.
