Laurie eventually changes her into a vampire and they are finally able to be happy. But visits from A troublesome Werewolf and a vicious Hunter puts a halt in the festivities.
Laurie and Mikani overcome many obsticles together, but that doesn't mean their relationship can end tragically.

They take a long time to get to know each other, Drake making many mistakes that could have been fatal for their relationship, Kai being kidnapped or transformed by the evil being within her...Syn. Syn is then gone, but comes back full force to despose of Kai.

Nathan hurried in front of him and held open one of the doors, "Sorry..." he apologized.
Laurie carried Asuka into the ER quietly, "Where should I put her...?" he asked quietly.
Nathan turned around to face Laurie's direction, "In the other room over there..." he said, pointing to another pair of double doors, "You can just set her on a bed."
Laurie nodded and followed Nathan's instructions. He gently set Asuka down on one of the few beds that were present in the room. He sighed and looked down at her. A moment later, he headed back into the other room to check on Drake.
"Duke, set Drake on the table please..." Nathan said digging through some drawers.
Laurie stood in the doorway between the recovery room and the ER.
"But nothing can erase that past...I've tried forgetting but it has scarred me for the rest of my life...I can't forget...I've been branded by it..." -Laurie

Asuka was snuggled against Laurie when he carried her inside. Then when Laurie set her on the bed she gave a soft sigh and moved her head a little bit.
Duke had to lift Drake up a little bit and went inside and quickly set Drake on the table Nathan had indicated. He gave a small sigh of relief and looked over at Laurie. "Do you want to stay here or would you like to go some where...get anything?" He asked raising a brow slightly.

Nathan checked Drake's breathing and pulse once more. Nothing had changed since the incident, and that worried him a little bit. "He came out of this so fast last time...this is so strange..." he thought.

Duke smiled a little and gestured to the door. "You must be hungry or something." He said softly. He held the door open and smiled at Laurie. "Come on."

Laurie thought about it for a moment then took Duke's friendly gesture, "Okay..." he said quietly. He walked out the door into the hall then stopped. He wasn't familiar with this place and he didn't want to get in trouble or worse, get lost.

Duke looked back at Nathan before going into the hall. "Call me if anything comes up." He said with a small nod, then he closed the door.
Duke looked at Laurie and smiled a little. "So what would you like to do?" He asked as he put an arm over Laurie's shoulder's. "You hungry? Tired? Want to get some anger out? Anything?" He asked as he started to lead Laurie down the hall.

Laurie was quiet for quite a while, "I'm kinda hungry..." he said very softly. He didn't understand why Duke was being so friendly with him. It bothered him a little bit, but he tried to ignore it. "I hope Drake is okay..." Laurie thought almost every minute. He didn't want anything to happen to Drake, he was the only one left in his life that he could rely on.
"Please, Drake...please be okay..." he thought again.

Duke smiled. "Alright then the kitchen it is." He said with a nod and took his arm off of Laurie's shoulders. He walked along next o Laurie then took a right down the next hall.
