Laurie eventually changes her into a vampire and they are finally able to be happy. But visits from A troublesome Werewolf and a vicious Hunter puts a halt in the festivities.
Laurie and Mikani overcome many obsticles together, but that doesn't mean their relationship can end tragically.

Mikani sat in the front seat, clenching her fists so hard that the knuckles had turned white. "It's just ahead..."
The manor was large...made of white marble. The driveway was a roundabout...with a large marble fountain in the center. Yeah...her parents had a thing for marble.
She was dreading this so much. If her heart beat any faster, she swore she'd have a heart attack...

"Alright," Laurie said driving the car up to the house and parked. He looked at Mikani, "I hate to admit this...but i'm seriously scared," he said his face looking worried.
After Mikani had been gone for over a week and she started practically living with a man six years older than her, her parents might just fetch a musket.
"I'm afraid that they will hate me, i can't deal with people not liking me," he said brushing his rusty brown hair out of his face, which he had brushed just before he left...no more messy.
"But nothing can erase that past...I've tried forgetting but it has scarred me for the rest of my life...I can't forget...I've been branded by it..." -Laurie

She leaned over and kissed his neck lightly"I'll just explain how you save my life!"she smiled warmly and slid out of the car quickly. So he was nervous too...
Well, hopefully things would go well.
She bounded up to the door and rang the bell, motioning for Laurie to stand behind her.

A small smile formed on his face, "Sounds like a good idea." He got out of the car just as fast as Mikani, and responded to her gesture. Laurie pulled on her hair gently, "Mikani? What should i say? What should I do?" he was so nervous that he was asking a million questions. "Hopefully they won't hate me..." he thought twidling his thumbs.

"Hi....mom..."mikani pulled away and reached out for Laurie"Um...there's someone I'd like you to meet. He-"
"He?"a man in a black suit walked down a flight of stairs. His hair was slicked back, and looked very...black. Unlike Mikani, her father was pale. Her mother, however, had the same skin color as Mikani. "Who's this 'he'?"

Laurie followed Mikani warily. "Umm...," he started quietly. He looked at Mikani's mother while she was busy hugging, "I guess thats where mikani get her looks," he thought resting his eyes on Mikani. Laurie heard a man's voice and quickly looked in that direction, Laurie's muscles tightened, what was next, the man sounded kind of stern.

Mikani held Laurie's hand, trying to calm him down. "Mom...dad...this is Laurie."she smiled, her cheeks turning a light pink. "He's...uh...he and I are kind of..." her father was glaring at her. "Yes yes. He brought you home. Now how much for the reward money?"

Laurie took a deep breath and stepped forward still holding onto Mikani's hand, "Sir, i'm not here for the money, you can keep it...," he said boldly, not showing any weakness. He had a way of showing people he was important. Laurie smiled without showing his teeth of course.

"No daughter of mine is living anywhere but here! You're not even eighteen, young lady!" "But I'm going to be in a few weeks! Besides! I'm...I'm turning into a vampire!" There. She'd said it.
Her father looked like he was about to kill her. He reached out and struck her, causing Mikani to stuble back"Get your things and get out."he turned and left the room.
"Are you all right, dear...?"Ella walked over and looked at Mikani where her father had struck her. Her face was red, but hopefully it wouldn't bruise"I'm sorry mom..." "Don't worry about it..."

Laurie turned to look at Mikani, "I'm sorry...Its all my fault that this happened," His face was pained.
He didn't know what to do, he was scared, even of Mikani's mother who didn't seem hateful towards Mikani turning into a vampire at all. "Mikani...," he thought looking at the floor.

Laurie sighed, "Of course," he said with sincerity. He wathed Mikani's mother leave, "Where's your room?" he said quickly, he just wanted to get out of there before Mikani's father attempted to kill him.

"This way."she pulled him up the stairs and down the hall. She opened the door to her room and walked inside, pulling a suitcase out from under the bed. There were already clothes in it.
"I've been planning to run away for a while..."she grabbed a jewelry box off the dresser and put it in the suitcase before throwing more clothes inside. When it was full, she grabbed another one and began to fill it with more clothes, some books, a teddy bear, and anything else important. "Could you please carry these to the car? I have to grab a few more things and I'll be right out..."
