A wonderful love story between the two vampires, Laurie and Mikani. Laurie rescues Mikani and they fall in love instantly. But one problem lies....Mikani is still human. Laurie eventually changes her into a vampire and they are finally able to be happy. But visits from A troublesome Werewolf and a vicious Hunter puts a halt in the festivities.
Laurie and Mikani overcome many obsticles together, but that doesn't mean their relationship can end tragically.

They take a long time to get to know each other, Drake making many mistakes that could have been fatal for their relationship, Kai being kidnapped or transformed by the evil being within her...Syn. Syn is then gone, but comes back full force to despose of Kai.

Mikani and Rah-juh were clashing. Blade to body, fang to shoulder, fire to electricity. Their battle was one to the death. Neither could find an opening, and the battle dragged on. A crowd gathered to watch, many of them had heard whisperings of the Bandit King....
But who was this vampire female? The one who wielded fire?

Laurie got up off the couch slowly, his head hurt, "Mikani where are you?" he thought walking into the kitchen to get a drink. "If you can hear me, just tell me," he whispered.

Their fight continued. It ended in a draw, with Mikani receiving a knife in the side. Rah-juh got a painful burn and a series of claw marks on his back. The Bandit King slunk into the shadows, leaving Mikani to bleed.

A young man ran over to Mikani, "Are you okay?" he asked observing her wound with deep green eyes, "You did good against that werewolf, but he got you good."
He finished his drink in one gulp, "What if he hurt her?" he asked himself, worrying was just something Laurie did often. The whole thing upset him even more at the fact that Mikani and Rah-juh left without a trace so tracking her down was almost impossible.

"I'm sure I'll be fine...."she placed her hand over the wounds, but the blood wouldn't stop flowing. "Ugh..."she closed her eyes. "Laurie....please find me..."she whispered.

The man looked at all the blood, the only thing he could do for her was to stay there until someone came for her.
Laurie sighed, "You shouldn't have let him take her," he scolded himself. He sat down at the kitchen table, then a familiar voice pssed through his mind. "What was that?" he whispered, "Mikani...?" Maybe she could hear him after all, he closed his eyes, "Mikani? Tell me where you are," he thought hard.

She held the wound tighter, grimacing. She was in pain...a lot of it.

Laurie got up quickly, put on his boots and coat, then headed for the door. "Don't worry, I'm coming." He ran to Haze, the underground city, he walked up and down streets then he caught the scent of Mikani's blood and followed it.
He saw her laying there on the ground bleeding, "Mikani...," he whispered pushing the young man out of the way. Laurie held Mikani in his arms.

Laurie started to panic, "I don't know what to do," he said softly.
The same young man from before ran towards them pulling a young woman behind him, they stopped in front of Laurie. The woman stepped forward, "I think I can help," she said in a quiet shy voice. "She's a nurse, she can at least stop the bleeding, please come this way," the young man said quickly.
Laurie nodded and carefully picked Mikani up off the ground and followed behind them, "Don't worry Mikani...," he whispered. They got to a small house and Laurie set Mikani down on the table but stayed by her side. The woman stepped forward, "What happened to you?" she asked softly.

Mikani held onto Laurie tightly. Now a nurse was asking her questions....
"Rah-juh stabbed me with a knife while we were fighting."she mumbled. "I'm in a lot of pain..."
