The taxi ride was a longer one, while they drove Kai fell asleep in the back seat. Some of her hair fell in front of her face.
Why was she so tired?

The taxi stopped in front of Kai's apartment complex and Drake paid the taxi driver. He got out of the car and opened Kai's door, "It's time to wake up, sweetheart," he whispered softly. he brushed the hair out of her face and tucked it behind her ear.
Laurie got out of the car as well and since Drake was preoccupied with waking Kai up, he opened the trunk and took out the three bags then walked to the sidewalk.

Kai woke up and looked around for a few seconds. Oh ya...we're home... She thought to herself and climbed out of the car. Once she was out of the car she stretched.

The cab drove away and left them standing in front of the apartment building.
Drake stretched as well, "I'm glad to be back...my house is so...opresssive."
Laurie stood on the curb and waited for direction, he had not been in that area before.
Drake smiled at him and grabbed Kai's hand, leading her along, "I'll take one of the bags." He grabbed one from Laurie's left hand and walked into the apartment building and continued to walk until they reached Kai's door.
Laurie followed quietly.

Kai gave a nod. "Me to." She said with a small smile.
Kai held onto Drake's hand as they walked toward her apartment. When they reached her door she dug around in her pocket and pulled out her little key.

Drake groaned loudly, "Damnit!" he yelled, "I knew I forgot something!"
Laurie looked at him confused.
"My violin..." Drake sighed sadly, "I guess I'll just have it sent here...hopefully mom will answer the phone..."
"She will..." Laurie said softly. He waited quietly for Kai to open the door...all he wanted to do was rest now. Once he was off the plane he got an extreme wave of fatigue and it made him feel a little sick but he hid it well.

Kai looked over at Drake. "Oh...I'm sure your mother will send it to you." She said softly. She put the key in the lock and opened the door.
She pushed open the door and held it open. "Here we are." She said with a small smile.

Laurie walked through the door first and looked around. He set the bags he was carrrying on the floor next to the door. He took off his shoes and looked around the living room curiously then continued to give himself a little tour.
Drake smiled at her, then winked at her. He walked through the door and picked up the bags Laurie left by the door. he lugged them to the bedroom and set them against the wall. he sighed and looked at the room...it was messy. They way they left it.
"Drake...your house is messy..." Laurie said softly, peeking around the corner, then disappearing again.

Once everyone was inside Kai closed the door behind her. "It feel good to be home..." She said softly and headed to her bedroom.
She saw the bed was a mess, but she didn't care. She walked up to it and fell down onto the bed face down. Her sheets smelt the same and she liked it that way. After sleeping a strange house it was really nice to be some place she knew.
"Drake...your house is messy..."
Kai looked up from the bed for a moment when she heard what Laurie said. "Ya...we'll have to clean up sometime soon." She said rolling onto her back.

Laurie stood around, he didn't know where he should sit or stand...he wasn't used to being in someone else's house.
Drake watched Kai and smiled, "Looks like you're happier already."

Kai smiled and gave a small nod. "Yes...I am..." She said softly. She sat up and walked over to the doorway. "Make yourself at home Laurie." She called down the hall before going back into the bedroom.
"So...should Laurie sleep on the couch...on the floor in here...or what?" Kai asked as she sat down on the bed again.

After hearing Kai call to him, Laurie sat on the couch and looked around curiously again.
Drake sat on the bed next to Kai and sighed as she listed things, "He'll probably want to sleep with me, love...so I guess, all three of will be sharing the bed, unless you want us to sleep on the floor, it doesn't matter to me."

Drake looked at her suprised, "No! We'll sleep on the floor, i'll not have you sleeping on the couch in your own house!"
He frowned, "Unless you're willing to share the bed with Laurie and me, you two don't have to sleep next to each other you know but it's your decision."
