Laurie and Mikani overcome many obsticles together, but that doesn't mean their relationship can end tragically.

They take a long time to get to know each other, Drake making many mistakes that could have been fatal for their relationship, Kai being kidnapped or transformed by the evil being within her...Syn. Syn is then gone, but comes back full force to despose of Kai.

The was a soft rumbled from the little black motorcycle out on the street. Asuka had changed into something a little more comfortable then what she was wearing earlier. She wore a pair of blue jeans with a hole in one of the knees. Her black tank top with a worm out skull on the front was covered by a thick leather jacket. When she stopped the bike she took off her helmet and set it down int he compartment on the back.
She shook out her damp hair and looked up at the apartment building. "I hope their home..." She said to herself softly as she climbed off her bike. Her foot got caught on the other side of the bike and she stumbled backward onto the ground. Luckily the bike didn't fall over on top of her. "Ow..." She mumbled rubbing her lower back. She pushed herself back up and made her way out to the apartment.
She thought she could try and be some what civilized and knock on the door for once she she went inside and knocked on the door. She waited, but there was no answer. She put her ear to the door and could hear the tv voices. "Hm...maybe they can't hear me... She said softly. She sprinted down stairs and decided to do it the old fashioned way, climbing up the side of the building.
She gave herself a running started toward the wall and went she came close to the red bricks she kicked her leg u and ran up the side of the wall with no trouble. Her hand just grabbed the bar to the balcony. She quickly scrambled up the small wall and pulled herself onto the stone, but she tumbled straight to the ground of the balcony. She sat up and brushed off her shirt and jacket. "There..." She said softly, mostly from being out of breath. "T-that...that wasn't s-so hard." She said softly as she pulled herself up. "No then..." She went up to the sliding lass doors and pressed her face to the glass cupping her hands around her glasses. The curtains, made it a little harder to see into the living room, but she could just make out the form of someone on the what looked to be the couch. Hm...must have fallen asleep. She thought to herself as she tried to opened the sliding glass door.

As soon as Asuka's feet hit the balcony, Laurie's eyes flung open. "Someone's here..." he thought.
He stayed still for a little while longer but as the intruder was trying to open the sliding door, he got up from the couch quickly and hid along the wall next to the door, out of sight. He flipped the latch on the door unlocking it, then waited for the intruder to get inthe apartment.

She tugged once again and the sliding glass door opened slightly. "There we go...must have been sticky." She sad to herself softly and slowly opened the door. Once the door was open enough for her to get through she slipped in behind the curtain.

Laurie reached his hand behind the curtain and grabbed Asuka by the throat and pulled her towards him then turned and pushed her against the wall.
"Who are you and what are you doing here...?" he asked in a harsh and threatening voice. His eyes glowed a deep violet and his hand tightened around Asuka's throat.

Asuka gave a loud squeak when a hand wrapped around her small throat. Her glasses fell off of her face when she was pinned against the wall. "D-Drake it's me!" She squeaked as she clawed at the hand around her throat. "I-I can't breath!" She squeaked even louder as she kicked at Laurie's legs trying to get him to let go.

Suddenly he looked at her face and remembered who she was. He let go of her and his eyes shifted back to their normal blue. "I'm so sorry!" he said, his expression and voice was worried, "Are you okay?" He picked up her glasses and handed them to her, "You're Asuka, right?"

Asuka gave a loud gasp when the hand released her throat. The air filled he lungs as she slid down the wall. She put her hands to her throat as she look into the sweet oxygen. "What do you mean 'your Asuka right'?!" She asked loudly. She couldn't see anything so she could tell it was Laurie and not Drake. She felt the air for Laurie's hand and she felt her glasses in it.
"You've seen me other a million-" She stopped in mid sentence when she put her glasses on and saw who it was that was looming over her. "Oh..." She said softly, her cheeks turned a bright pink. "Sorry about that..." She said softly. "I-I guess Drake never told you how I do things...heh" She said softly giving a very soft laugh.

Laurie blinked for a moment thinking about what she had said to him, "Oh! You thought I was Drake..." he said softly. "Well I'm sorry for attacking you, Asuka."
He crouched down so he was at Asuka's level, "Now tell me what you're doing here," Laurie asked nicely.

Asuka nodded. "Yes...I didn't think anyone else lived here with Drake ad Kai." She said softly.
Asuka didn't notice until Laurie was down at her level that he was wearing boxers and not pants. "Oh god!" She quickly clapped her hands over her eyes and her cheeks turned bright red. "Didn't realize you were dressed...well...oh god!" She had never seen a man in his skivvies before and she didn't plan to until she was older and possibly married. She was also still a younger kid at heart, even through she was in her thirty's she still looked and acted like she would if she were her regular young teenage self.
She continued to cover her eyes as she answered his question. "I-I was asked to check up on them..." She said softly.

Laurie laughed, "Don't be so embarassed, I was sleeping when you barged in you know..." he said rolling his eyes, "and I don't plan on changing quite yet...so get used to it." He frowned slightly, "I don't live here, i'm only here for the moment...there was some...family issues since the last time we met..."
His expression went blank, "You're here to check on them? Why? is something wrong?"

Asuka continued to cover her eyes. "Yes I came to check in on them...bad things in Moon City are happening and they may be connected to-" She quickly shout her mouth and bit her bottom lip. Oh dang it all! Her mind screamed. "Forget I said anything!" She said quickly. "I'm just here to see if things are all ok thats all." She said quickly.

Laurie frowned, "Connected to...what...?" he asked, "What bad things in Moon City?" His voice was a bit more forceful now, he was worried about Mikani.

"You mean you don't know?" Asuka asked with a slight hint of shock. "It's all over the news." She said softly. "We know there is a clan of vampires roaming around the city attacking mostly humans." She said with a small nod.

"Well I did see something on the news but it didn't seem that severe at this point..." he said getting up from the floor. He paced around the room for a little while, "But from what you tell me...it's a lot worse..."
"What's going to happen? Do you know yet?" Laurie stopped pacing and looked down at Asuka, "Who are they after exactly?"

"Well for us it is!" She said with hint of shock. "It's are job to stop things like this from ever happening. Pretty soon people will start to figure out that it's not a simple gang related event." She said with a frown.
"Well...we're not quite sure who is involved, but there has been rumors of this new clan leader running things in the underground." She said softly. "We've tried to catch some of these rouge vampires but they end up killing themselves before we can question them." She said with a sigh. "We can't look into the future with these things Laurie." She said with a small laugh. The laugh was the kind of laugh to try and hide something from someone. No one knew of her new powers...well not yet anyway.
