Part I
The story that goes on and on. Drake and Kai, unlikely lovers, but destined lovers, meet in the most bizzare place...and alley...
They take a long time to get to know each other, Drake making many mistakes that could have been fatal for their relationship, Kai being kidnapped or transformed by the evil being within her...Syn. Syn is then gone, but comes back full force to despose of Kai.

Their car pulled up to the airport after an hour long drive. Jocelyn got out of the car, as well as Merrik, "Come on, we'll miss our plane," she said softly. Jocelyn wasn't one to yell or be cruel to anyone, if someone was upset, she was always gentle and kind.
Laurie had calmed down, he stopped crying, but the only reason was he was going out in public, and he didn't want to embarass himself. He just looked depressed instead. He let go of Drake's arm and opened the car door to get out. Drake leaned over and kissed Kai gently, "Come on, love." He got out of the car and walked to the other side to open the door for her, "My father is getting impatient."
Laurie stood right next to Drake and look at the ground. Merrik and Jocelyn were waiting at the doors to the airport, Merrik constantly looking at his watch and Jocelyn people watching. Laurie then watched Drake and Kai and felt a wave of sadness coming on, but he supressed it. He didn't want to embarass Drake.
"Come on!" Merrik yelled, "We're going to be late!"

Kai smiled and got out of the car with Drake and held onto his arm. "Um...Drake?" She asked looking up at him. "What are we going to do about clothes?" She asked softly. She didn't know if they were going to be getting new clothes and such before they came back.
When she heard Merrik call to them she started to walk toward the doors. "We might want to move a little faster...I don't want your father mad at us..." She whispered to him.

"We'll go shopping together when we get to Germany, okay?" he smiled cutely at Kai and put his hand over hers. Laurie followed them quietly, he looked as though he was in deep thought. "Don't worry, father isn't mad at us, he's not really mad at anyone, he's just trying to calm down, so we should keep our distance from him."
Drake opened the door and walked through, pulling Kai with him. The airport was HUGE. But there was no time to stop and get anything to eat. Jocelyn followed at Merrik's side to the ticket counter. "Five tickets first class to Munich," Merrik said in his low voice.
The woman at the counter blushed and quickly got them tickets, "here you are," she said nervously, "It's a straight flight there, no transitions."
Merrik smiled at her and took the tickets, "Thank you very much, miss."
He gave the tickets to Jocelyn to hold onto, "Our plane leaves in about ten minutes, so we better hurry," Jocelyn turned around and said to Drake, Kai, and Laurie.
Drake's eyes widened, "Woah, we better get going," he said to Kai. He grabbed Laurie's hand and pulled him along. Laurie was falling behind. Soon they caught up with Merrik and Jocelyn by the time they got to the gate.
"Alright, here is your tickets, don't lose them," Jocelyn said handing everyone their ticket, "You can sit down for a little bit."
Laurie sat down and looked at the carpet. Drake sat next to him.

After a while, there was an announcement that their flight was boarding first class. "Oh! That's us!" Drake said standing up, "Come on, Laurie." He grabbed Laurie's hand and pulled him from his chair. Drake turned to kai, "Come on, love, it's time to go." Laurie started walking for the gate with Drake at his side.
Merrik and Jocelyn had already got their tickets checked and they were seated, right next to each other. Since the plane was bigger, there were three first class seats in a row, so Drake, Kai, and Laurie's seats were right next to each other. Drake got his ticket checked as well as Laurie and they waited for Kai.

Kai gave a small sigh and pulled herself up from her seat to get her ticket checked.
After her ticket was checked she made her way over to the plane entrance and saw Laurie and Drake waiting for her. She smiled slightly when she saw Drake. "You didn't have to wait for me." She said softly as she wrapped her arms around Drake's.

Drake kissed her forehead and smiled, "I wouldn't leave you behind," he said softly. He grabbbed her hand and pulled her along, as well as Laurie who was stationed on his other hand. Once they got on the plane, Merrik and Jocelyn were seated towards the front, but their seats were further back. Drake looked at his ticket and found his seat. All their seats were together "Laurie, you sit by the window." Laurie obeyed and moved into his seat. "I'll sit in the middle." He sat down in his seat and as he did, he led Kai to her seat right next to him. "The plane won't take off for a little while."
Laurie sighed and rested his head against the window and looked out at the runway.
"When we take off, you can get something to eat, Kai, if you're hungry," Drake said kissing the top of her head.

Drake smiled warmly, "That's okay then," he replied. After a while all the passengers with coach tickets were seated and the plane was about ready to take off. Drake leaned his head back in his seat and closed his eyes as the plane moved out onto the runway then finally lifted off in the direction of Germany. Drake sighed, "This will be a long flight..."
Up ahead a few seats, Jocelyn rested her head on Merrik's shoulder. At first he ignored her, but then he rested his on hers. Drake opened his eyes and looked around, then his eyes rested on Laurie. Laurie's head was still rested on the window as it was before, but he no longer looked depressed, he looked absolutely heartbroken, more so than when he was hugging Drake outside the apartment door. He was being taken far away from her. Tears trickled down his cheeks as he cried quietly so no one would hear. "Laurie..." he whispered. Laurie heard him and turned to face him. Laurie rested his head on Drake's shoulder and wrapped his arms around Drake's arm. "Go to sleep, Laurie..." Drake whispered as he caressed Laurie's cheek with the back of his hand, catching fallen tears on his fingers. Laurie still cried for a while, but from being exhausted and from crying so much, his eyes became heavy and he drifted off to sleep.
Drake turned to Kai and kissed the top of her head again, "So how are you doing?"

During the flight Kai closed her eyes and just listened to the light hum of the planes engines on the wings. It was some what soothing, it help her keep her mind off of the sad event that had taken place back home.
When Kai felt Drake kiss her head she opened her eyes and looked over at him. She smiled. "I'm fine." She saw Laurie sleeping on Drake's arm and looked back at Drake. "Hows he doing?" She asked softly.

Drake took a quick glace at Laurie then back to Kai, "He's obviously still upset...and i'm sure he will be for a while..." he said softly. "I worry about him though...he is now a danger to himself." Drake now looked sad, he was remembering things that had happened in the past, "I hope you don't mind sharing me for a while, Kai...Laurie needs me right now..."
Laurie stirred in his sleep and pulled tighter to Drake.

"I'm glad you understand, Kai," he replied. Drake smiled and put his hand atop hers, "Don't worry, i'll still take good care of you," he whispered in her ear, then he winked and gave her a dashing smile.

Drake chuckled in a low voice, "You bet."
Laurie woke up and snuggled against Drake's arm to get his attention. Drake turned, "What do you need, Laurie?" he asked softly, kissing the top of Laurie's head.
"I'm thirsty," he mumbled.
Drake called the flight attendant over and asked for a glass of water. She returned with the glass of water and handed it to him, "Here you are, sir," she said with a smile. "Why thank you," he replied, then winked at her. She blushed and went on her way to attend to other people. Drake handed the glass to Laurie and Laurie took it, then dropped two blood tablets in it that he pulled from his pocket. Laurie took a long drink, leaving only half the glass full. Laurie then held the glass in his lap and rested his head on Drake's shoulder again, "Thank you..." he whispered. "Anytime," Drake replied softly.
